Hi,

I am working on a project,for that i need a little bit clarification i.e.,does IC bq79606A is used for a single cell in a battery?

Hi Ashok,

Thank you for your question. BQ79606A can be used to monitor down to 3 cells and up to 6 cells. It's main application is automotive battery monitoring:

Full electric, plug-in hybrid, and hybrid vehicles
Automotive 12-V and 48-V Li-Ion battery systems

Hi Ashok,

You may use the GPIOs to take NTC temperature measurements. For current sensing, you would have to get creative with using an INA current sense amplifier device or some other solution as the bq79606A does not have on board current sense.
