One comment that I want to make is that this is a 24W design and care must be taken with heat dissipation along with switching frequency and components selection.

Hi Hsu,

If you filled out the requested data on the excel spread sheet correctly then it should work correctly. The switching frequency you filled out is 800Khz so the Rt recommended of 9.3K is correct. The Ris needs to be less than 0.07 Ohm and you have it at 0.08 Ohm. I would use 0.04 to 0.05 Ohm for Ris to reduce power loss on Ris so you can use smaller package there Note that when you change Ris you will change the slope compensation cap along with the compensation component.

As far as compensation, the spread sheet gives you the value if you have filled out everything correctly. However, capacitance value changes with DC bias and the in the spread sheet you have to have the correct effective capacitance along with the dynamic resistance of the LED. We do have an evaluation board that you can obtain and to help with your design if you wish.
