I have a question about current limit protection of TPS63030.

If average switching current exceeded current limit, does this device shut down immediately or limit the current until operating thermal shut down?

Hi Yokota,

The device will limit the current until the load decreases or until thermal shutdown, whichever happens first.

Hi Yokota,

In both cases the device will start up again by itself. In case of the overcurrent, the output voltage will drop, and later recover when the load current decreases. In case of the overtemperature, the device shuts down when the junction temperature reaches 140°C, and turns on again when the temperature drops to 120°C.
