Hi,
we have 25 PCB equipped with the BQ40Z60 and unfortunately all 25 pcs have a problem with the battery measurement.
We found the reason for this measurement error and designed a 100R series resistor between the SRP pin and the shunt and the SRN pin and shunt.
We found this recommendation in an application note. If we change the two series resistances from 100R to 0R, the measurement error goes to zero => thus OK.
Via the BQ-Studio-App we can read out the HW-Version. It is on our Eval-Board (V01), our first PCBs (V02) and the currently equipped PCBs (V06).
For V01 and V02, the series resistances did not cause any problems, but as already described in V06 it did. The BQ firmware is the same setup for all PCBs.
The questions:
Can you please send me an overview of the bugs / new features for all available hardware versions?
If the HW version of this IC influencing the behavior so massive, would it be possible to define the HW version when ordering the ICs?
Best regards, Alen
