TPS2491: external capacitance on the VREF pin

My customer is considering TPS2491 and has a question.

I would be grateful if you could advise.

According to the datasheet P.12 7.3.6 VREF,

The device does not require a bypass capacitor.

But special application can connect 1000pF or less.

Could you please let me know what kind of use case do you assume?

Hi Shinichi,

If you plan to use VREF to power some low power (<1mA) auxiliary circuits, you may intent to place bypass capacitors. In that case, place <1000pF to avoid any stability issues on VREF.
