BQ77915EVM-014: spark was coming in PACK+

I am a little bit confused, are you using the EVM or are you using the reference design for your own board? If you are using your own board, could you send me the schematic?

I'm having a little trouble understanding your schematic. Could you tell me what you are using R37, R36, and R34 for? Also, what are the diodes D5-D9 used for? Where are you applying your input voltage?

I think your issue may come from an incorrect connection. The PACK+ pin needs to be connected to D1. I have highlighted the connection in the schematic.

I believe you have all the correct components in your schematic, they just need to be connected correctly.

Once again check the schematic file. Because of I was connected PACK+ to C5 net. C5 is a net name which connecting PACK+, D1 and connector J2. Also, I checked the PCB layout in which I connected the PACK+ terminal to D1. So please kindly give me the solution...

Hi Hemavathi,

Right now, I do not see anything else in the schematic that I believe would cause a spark. Could you give me some more information about your charger? What is the voltage, current, capacitance of it? 

Additionally, are you following the quick start sequence described in the EVM user guide? It would be useful to check functionality of the board.

I checked the functionality of board using quick start sequence described in the EVM user guide. It is working fine.

I am facing problem when I connect the charger into the board.

I am using APLAB DC regulated power supply for charging.

This issue is facing during charger power supply in OFF condition.

Note: I connected PACK- terminal to charger -ve terminal correctly. When I connecting PACK+ terminal into Charger +ve terminal the spark is coming continuously.

Could you tell me the voltage and current of both the BATT and PACK terminals when you notice this spark?
