HI,

There are two questions for Rboot.

How can the Rboot pin by pass the Cboot pin,when the boot capacitor dischare?

Why need the boot diode?Is it for reverse voltage protection?

Edward, this figure looks simplified

1. RBOOT controls how fast the HS fet is turned on by the driver. The selected resistor determines a mirrored current in the IC.

2. The diode you are talking about is internal to the IC and is used to charge up the boot cap when switch is low.
