Hello TI,
Why we need TPS389, as per the evaluation reference schematic of BQ24773 observed the supervisory circuit, can anyone please clear the use case of TPS389

Hey Rahul,

The BQ24773EVM is an evaluation board in order for customers to test the features of the charger.

In order to test the BATPRES feature, the TP389 was added in order to detect the removal of the battery and trigger the BATPRES pin. It is an optional component if you do no not need the battery removal detection feature. You may also implement the function a different way.
