TPS2511-Q1: Operation related inquiry

Hi Team

My customer has a few questions about the operation of the TPS2511-q1:

1) How does the TPS2511-Q1 work when the product is not recognized on the DM / DP pins? Does it keep trying to charge it?

2) Does TPS2511-Q1 keep trying to charge when there is no load? Or does it turn off the output?

3) What effect will the TPS2511-Q1 have if a very low load is connected and a higher current flows than the TPS2511-Q1's allowable current?(Inquiries about the effect of momentary overload and the effect of continuous overload)

4) Can the IC generate heat if the load is not connected?

5) My customer applied two TPS2511-Q1. If it connects together IN port(pin 3) of TPS2511-Q1 to power ic output, is there any problem?

    Thanks for your question at tps2511-Q1, you can find my comment as below:

    1) How does the TPS2511-Q1 work when the product is not recognized on the DM / DP pins? Does it keep trying to charge it?

    --> The tps2511-Q1 will set DP/DM in diver mode , the phone will recognize this signal by itself and start charging behavior. If the phone not recognize ,the tps2511-Q1 will stay at divider 1 mode. The device is the passive to tell the phone this is the DCP port, the charge behavior is depend on phone itself. 

    2) Does TPS2511-Q1 keep trying to charge when there is no load? Or does it turn off the output?

    --> it will not turn off the output (VBUS has 5V ) , it stay at diver 1 mode and advertise this is a DCP port. 

    3) What effect will the TPS2511-Q1 have if a very low load is connected and a higher current flows than the TPS2511-Q1's allowable current?(Inquiries about the effect of momentary overload and the effect of continuous overload)

    --> The tps2511-Q1 at high and low load current is almost same. The different is high load current will create heat by the Rdon of inner power switch. 

    4) Can the IC generate heat if the load is not connected?

    --> The tps2511-Q1 will has consumption even though no phone attached, but the heat is very smaller compare to has load connect.

    5) My customer applied two TPS2511-Q1. If it connects together IN port(pin 3) of TPS2511-Q1 to power ic output, is there any problem?
