TPS43060: External high-side gate resistor to reduce switching ringing

Hi team,

My customer added a high-side gate resistor to reduce the swithing ringing. As a result, the switching noise is well surpressed.

How much resistor value can be added to the gate for TPS43060?

Hi Saito-san

Thank you for posting. This depends on the FETs it drives. Please ask the customer to monitor the Vgs of both FETs, and make sure there are adequate dead time. The dead time should not be smaller than 20ns in order to prevent shoot through.
