TPS54302: Estimating Power Dissipation

Part Number: TPS54302
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS54318

Hi

The customer wants to estimate the power consumption of this device. As mentioned in other device data sheets (eg TPS54318), it can be calculated using the following formula:

1. Conduction loss: Pcon = Iout ^ 2 * Rds * Vout / Vin

2. Switching loss: Psw = 2 (tr + tf) * Vin ^ 2 * Iout * Fsw

3. Gate charge loss: Pg = 2 * Qg * Vin * Fsw

4. Quiescent current loss: Pq = Iq * Vin

5. Dead time loss: Pd = 2 * 0.7V * Fsw * Iout

If this process is correct, what are the following parameters?

How much is tr and tf?

How much is Qg?
