    Hi Ann,

         LP5569 is current sink and LP55231 is high side current source. They are different types of LED driver. I suggest that you may first refer to datasheets for details.

    May I know which application will choose LP55231 and LP5569? Since these two devices are all 9-ch solution, I would like to know the difference for it. Thanks a lot!

    Hi Ann,

        Since the LEDs can be classified into common anode and common cathode, you should choose the device according to the type of LEDs used in your application.

        For common cathode LEDs, the efficiency can be improved because the voltage can be regulated to adapt to different LED forward voltages of different colors. However, structure of common anode LED is helpful to improve the thermal performance.
