ULQ2004A-Q1: ULQ2004A-Q1

Part Number: ULQ2004A-Q1

Hello,

As per ULQ2004 - datahsheet

MAx Input voltage (Vin max) for one channel was mentioned as 5V

Could you please provide the min Input voltage (Vin min) level to turn on the channel ?

And -  what will be the tolerance for the RB - 10.5K - (Internal resistance) in the input pin ?

Please provide your support ASAP. thank you! Anticipating your response!

  • Hi Chandra,

The specification in the datasheet was built at a V_ce =2V. Different voltage on the input or base, change the amount of current on the collector.

Therefore, the minimum amount of voltage to "turn-on" the channel is wholly application dependent. How much collector current you need and and the V_ce voltage matter. I can say for certain that the maximum input voltage on the pin is 30V and the peak collector current is 500mA (Refer to fig. 16 for collector current maximum based of number of channels used).

The datasheet value for RB takes into account process and temperature variance. We recommend using this value in your designs.

  • Thank you for your support.

Still I jst need to confirm the Vin_min - to turn on the channel.

    For example - If Ic = 30mA, Vce = 0.75V , and  Vin = 4V and Iin will be 240uA.

For this case, is there any calculation to define the Vin min ?

If Vin < 3V - this channel will not turn on ??

  • Hi Chandra,

While we spec'd the maximum input voltage needed for turn on, we did not spec a minimum voltage due to the variation from different loading conditions. It would be difficult for us to provide an accurate estimate for your exact conditions, so our recommendation would be to test your exact conditions on this device and see if the part turns on.

    Thanks,
