Hi, I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations - I want to lay out +-15V supplies to power an op-amp on my next board, in a fairly small area. Current requirement is low, about 30mA. Actually, the op-amp only gets turned on briefly (about a 2% duty cycle), so I'd like to power-up these supplies, send the signal out the transducer and then power down, rather quickly. Any suggestions on a good place to start?

You can use the TPS54060 wit a coupled inductor to generate split rail supplies. You cab read about it here:

It seems that the minimum input that can accept is 3.5V. Since this will run from a LiPoly battery, it should be able to discharge to 3V and still work. Do you have any suggestions for something similar that will work down to a 3V input? Thank you.

Hello Aflynn,

Please have a look on TPS65130 or TPS65131, these parts have a minimum input voltage of 2.7V. The maximum recommended output voltage for these parts is +/- 15V.
