Hi,

We are planning to use TPS54040ADGQR in our system to source FPGA power supply (3.3V @1A) which will undergo EMI/EMC testing (MIL-STD-461E grade with center frequency of 700kHz application). We came across the below E2E link and we found that the customer is facing noise issue at VHF frequency.

Can you please clarify whether the issue got solved or do we need to choose any alternate part which has fixed switching frequency of >1MHz. If so suggest an alternate part with same BOM cost.

Hi,

I would suggest a different part in order to mitigate some EMI concern later on during the development process.

For example LM53601

This part is equipped with spread spectrum features which helps to reduce the peak during EMI testing

Hi Arief,

We are looking for the input voltage range 3 - 17V, Output voltage 1V(0.5A), 1.8V(0.5A) & 3.3V(1A) with Spread spectrum features, within 1.5$ each. Can you please suggest any alternative for TPS54040A.

Parameteric search will allow you to get more recommendations on TI.com, and maybe get a better feel for the cost. You can achieve small BOM cost with these so, implementation cost will be competitive.
