LMR14030-Q1: Low side FET operation during OVP

Part Number: LMR14030-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMR14030

Hi team,

I have a question about the low side FET behavior which is built in LMR14030 for boot cap charge support.

When LMR14030 detects OVP, it stops its high side FET until the output voltage returns to 107% of target voltage.

During this OVP operation(Vout>109%), is there a case that LMR14030 low side FET turns ON by detecting the boot UVLO?

Or in case of OVP, all the switching operation will stop?

regards,

  • Hi Shinji-san

I believe when the part is in OVP, all switching will be stopped and this include the high side FET.

The condition of boot UVLO is normally when the high side turns on too long which in this case the high side is turned off.

    Thanks
