BQ77915: Recover after a fault (UV,OB,OCD,SCD,...)

Part Number: BQ77915

Hello TI,

I am currently designing a board using BQ77915 for cell balancnig and protect, I didn't find in the datasheet informations about "How to choose a recovery method". In fact, I want to use timers to recover after fault, but I can't find the way to choose between "timer recovery", "load removal" and "load removal AND timer".

Best regards,

Romain Vitrat.

  • Hi Romain,

The devices we currently have available are listed in the device comparison table in the datasheet. All of the devices, except BQ7791504, require load removal to recover from an undervoltage or current fault. If you would like a device that has different recovery options, please contact your local sales representative.

  • Ok that's what I saw, so that means that devices with timer for recovery after current or voltage fault are not available natively? Or BQ7791504 allows it ? It's specified that recovery is disabled ...

  • Hi Romain,

You are correct, we have not yet created a version of this device with that recovery option. There is no way to enable it on devices that have already been produced. Currently, the only option for obtaining a device with that recovery mode is to create a new version of the device. We will do so if there is a business need.
