Hi Tiers

My project details as below:
input: 12V-32V, output: 48V 30A

does the LM5176 can support this project?  Suggestions are welcome from you, thx

    Hi Jack,

    Thank  you for reaching out.  The answer is no because this is 1.5kW and the LM5176 driver cannot drive the FETs required to processing 1.5W.  Each LM5176 can support up to 300W, and you would need 6 phases.

    We do have a device to support such high power: the LM5170.  Each Lm5170 is two phase. You can do this in three or 4 phases.  Please order 2 LM5170 EVM, and configure them in 3 or 4 phases boost mode, and you can do a quick evaluation.

    thanks for your reply, your said that the LM5176 driver cannot drive the FETs required to processing 1.5W,  if I add the the Gate driver, such as the UCC27XXX,  can LM5176 suppot this case？

    Hi Jack,

    We don't recommend to use the LM5176 with external driver, unless the external driver can have their own bias supplies.
