BQ25710: BATFET question

Hi team,

My customer plan to control the BATFET signal from external MCU not only BATDRV pin to prevent over discharge when the battery is low.

Would it be possible to use this control?

    Hi There:
        

        It is not doable. Because BATFET gate drive need to be up to 10V and it is floated by battery voltage also. Externally control of BATFET will also bother our IC control logic.

        To help on your condition: does customer have gauge device in their battery? There should be DBPT parameters in battery gauge to achieve this discharge current protection.
