Hi,

I need host controller code for determining the SOC and SOH of the battery pack.

    Hi Ansul,

    We will have mcu code available shortly online using the TMS570 mcu to control the device, however, it does not include SOC/SOH algorithms. These algorithms are left to be developed on the user end due to the variability in cells/pack size/user system requirements.

    Hi Taylor,

    Evaluation module of bq79606 comes with host controller programmed for estimation SOC and SOH. Can TI support us with that?

    Hi Ansul,

    Unfortunately no, the evaluation module does not come with estimation for SOC/SOH and as I mentioned above, we leave this to the user to develop these algorithms as this type of routine is driven based on system requirements and characterization data with specific cells. However, there are many useful resources online to help starting development.
