Good day,

I would like to inquire if the TPS25982 can conduct current in both directions.

The use case is to connect a LiPo battery on the IN ports and a powerpath battery charger on the OUT ports. Will the charger be able to charge the battery through the TPS25982? No protection/functionality required from the TPS25982 in the reverse direction.

Thanks for reaching out!

There would not be any control in the reverse path (i.e., from the charger to the LiPo battery) due to body diode of the internal MOSFET. It is recommended to use back-to-back connected devices as shown in Figure 14 in http://www.ti.com/lit/an/slva948/slva948.pdf to have full control on the path. I suggest to get EVMs and verify before going to built your board.
