BQ27542-G1: The detected device is not compatible with this application

Greetings,

I am using the BQ studio to generate a golden image for the BQ27542 device. Whenever i select the gauge i get this Warning message:
The detected device is not compatible with this aplication!

Some actions could cause the device to lose communication permanently and enter an unrecoverable state.

Proceed at your own risk.

Select Ok to continue, Cancel to close the application.

I can't figure out how to resolve this. And if i choose Ok what are the possible consequences ?

hi Tarak

bqstudio is supposed to automatically detect the device. You are not to manually select it. I recommend you update your version of bqstudio to the latest.

Hi,

It automatically detects the device. But when i open it whitout the EV board being connected and choose the gauge BQ27542-G1 it shows the warning message i presented above. I am using BqStudio Version 1.3.86.

Ok. Then it is ok . As long as it detects automatically, you can ignore the warning.
