Hi Team,

We have a customer inquiry regarding the 'Quirk' information that the customer has read in this e2e link below:

The part "There is a quirk with the TPS 249x UVLO when operating near Vin nominal that the LM5069 doesn't have".
- The customer would like to know more information regarding the quirk with the TPS 249x UVLO.

The customer wants to use TPS2492 for their new design but considering also LM5069 as an alternative until they saw the e2e post above and wants to know more for specific information for the 'Quirk' part.

Hi Jonathan,

While designing system with TPS249x devices, the UVLO threshold should be selected much lower than the operating Vin voltage. Otherwise, during fault condition, the TPS249x can go into continuous power-on restart which may lead to stress on the external MOSFET. We are in the process of updating the datasheet with this information.

LM5069 is a good alternative to TPS249x family of devices
