Hi,

I would like to use an external shunt resistor for sensing the current of my FET, and the datasheet in par. 3. mentions, that this IC supports shunt current sensing. But going through the details, in par. 8.3.7. desaturation protection is mentioned only (also in par. 9.2). So please clarify the connection of the shunt resistor, and the threshold for this protection method, because as I understood the DESAT pin cannot be used for this purpose (9V threshold).

    Hello Krisztián,

    UCC21750 variant of the device supports DESAT short circuit protection method. The other two variants of this device support shunt current sensing via the OC pin. The devices are UCC21732 and UCC21710.
