BQ25890H: What is the maximum ISYS Output current of BQ25890H?

Hi,

I have a 2 Questions:

1) What is the maximum ISYS Output current of BQ25890H? datasheet says "ISYS Output current (SW) 5A".

2) I want to set Input Current Limit 3.25A without accessing I2C Registers How to do that?

Hi Jebin,

Regarding 1, yes, maximum ISYS (= system current + battery charge current) is 5A, assuming input power is high enough. Please note that the IC cannot achieve 4.2V, 5A out with only 5V, 3.25A input due to efficiency limits.

Regarding 2, if you short D+=D- and short ILIM pin to ground, the input current limit register setting will be 3.25A.
