TPS2595: Current limit below 0.5A

Team-

The TPS2595 has specified accuracy for the current limit at 0.5A load.

We'd like to set the current limit to ~0.25A by putting 7.5k on the ILIM pin.

I assume the part isn't characterized at this low of a level and perhaps accuracy might suffer some, but is there any reason this won't work?

Hi Steve,

You are right. This part is not characterized for current limits lower than 0.5 A.

For current limit settings lower than 0.5 A, the functionality of current limit will work as expected but we cannot guarantee any accuracy of the current limit setting.

You can have a look at TPS2596 which has current limit setting as low as 0.125 A.

Thanks, my first suggestion was '2596, but the '2595 was already set up in the customers library and it would delay the project to add the '2596.
