LMG1210: Minimum output frequency : can we have a dc outpout level ( duty cycle 100%)

Part Number: LMG1210

We want used this part with  a push-pull feet stage  to do a digital output from 5 to 30 volts,

So the input PWM will be  from DC to 50Mhz.

In other word can we have a duty cycle output from 0% to 100% high or low

the charge pump is able to provide a constant VGS voltage to kept the high side feet ON for ever..

  • HI Marc,

Thanks for reaching on e2e about LMG1210 and welcome to e2e!

LMG1210 can support 100% duty cycle operation however, like you said, a floating HB-HS supply or charge pump needs to be used to keep the bootstrap cap charged. With no supply to replenish the bootstrap cap, at 100% duty cycle the bootstrap capacitor will eventually discharge to the point where the HO output can no longer keep the high side MOSFET turned on. How long this takes depends on the load capacitance of the gate of the FET. Let me know if this helps answer your question, or if you have any more.

    Thanks,
