TPS54560B-Q1: How to achieve ISO26262 ASIL-B

Hi,

Customer need function safety BUCK converter for automotive application. It is 24V battery system for load dump and other consideration they need input voltage can endurance 60V

The safety goal is ASIL-B. I could not found buck converter for ISO26262 on TI website. I think maybe they can add redundant power or extra diagnostic circuit to achieve ASIL-B. But

I don't know how to do.

1.Do you have other suggest part for this?

2.Can they using TPS54560B to achieve ASIL-B. (like redundant power or other strategy)

Hi Ankit,

Before post this thread, I had discuss with local TI FAE. We didn't find a buck controller like TPS65381 for safety application.

Is it possible using TPS54560B to achivev ISO26262 ASILB. How to submit the request?

Jeff ,

ASIL is a system level Specs . At semiconductor level , we have been providing documents like Pin FMEA etc so that tr OEMs can figure out probability of exposure , controllability and Severity of failure at system level .

Thanks for your reply. If customer want to get pin FMEA ,should they need to sign NDA? If so I can send the request to Local TI's FAE or Sales.

If not need sign NDA, where can I download it ?

Boss i seen your question about TL431 for higher voltage cutoff,

We are working project on lower and higher cutoff on flyback converter

isolated flyback convter Ic ( IR3M92 )
