Tool/software: WEBENCH® Design Tools

TPS54260 was designed using WEBENCH® Power Designer.

The output of the TPS54260 from several products is shown as a waveform of the attached picture.

The MCU is reset by the noise in the picture.(used reset ic : TPS3825-50DBV)

I want to know what the problem is.

A circuit diagram and photo are attached.

Hi,

Do you use TPS54160 1A converter or TPS54260 2A converter for the load current 2.3A?

Do you use 100uF 6.3V cap as C13 output cap? the cap voltage rating should be >16V for 5V bias voltage. pls try it with 2pcs 47uF 16V cap to see if problem solved.

Noise disappeared when using 2pcs 47uF 16V caps.
Can you see why the noise is gone?

The output 6.3V 100uF ceramic capacitor is biased with 5VDC, the effective capacitance maybe 10uF or less, the circuit can't works stably with too small output cap at output is loading.

Noise was eliminated using two 16V 47uF tantal capacitors. I'd like to know if the difference between the capacitor voltage 6.3V and 16V is related to the 5V output of tps54260
