LM5143-Q1: LM5176

Part Number: LM5143-Q1
  1. Can this part operate at 100% duty cycle?
  2. Does it require an external Boot voltage?
  3. I am trying to run a simulation pSpice but I am getting convergence errors. I attached the simulation model. any suggestions?

  • Hello Daniele,

    1. Part is capable of providing high duty cycle near to 100%, part has a limitation of 60ns minimum off time, but you get such high duty cycle number when you configure the part in PFM mode or diode emulation mode only. I studied your Schematic and it seems you configured your part for FPWM mode via connecting DEMB pin to VCC. If you are looking for high duty cycle I would recommend you to configure the part for PFM mode via connecting DEMB pin to AGND.

    2. I would recommend you to make a change on DEMB pin connection first to see if PFM mode operation satisfies your application need or not.

Please close the thread if you think my response answered you question. Thanks!
