Hello,

Can you please help confirm:

Datasheet says that the error amplifier is internally current limited (D/S 8.3.1.1). Is the current limit the 10mA value stated in the absolute maximum ratings?

    Hello Elisha,

    The error amplifier is internally limited to source 1mA typical.
    This is detailed in section 7.5  of the data sheet

    The absolute maximum rating is misleading.
    It refers to a number beyond which the device will be damaged.
    In practice it is not specified how this number can be achieved . It can possibly be done by some extraordinary failure of the circuit .
    Please use the numbers specified in page 5 of the parametric table of the Electrical Characteristics instead of the Absolute Maximum Ratings.
