Hi Sur,

My customer using bq24040 for TWS charging case application and met thermal issue.

Do you have linear charger layout guideline for improve thermal performance (reduce temperature in PCB)?

    Hi Ian

    A couple of things that will help:

    1.) Add additional vias near the top side thermal plane to move heat from top layer to bottom, see EVM layout.

    2.) Reduce PCB thickness to shorten via length

    3.) Increase copper thickness

    4.) Decrease charge current

    I can also review customer layout.
