BQ24745 Bench Test software problem

I have a problem running the BQ24745 Bench Test software wich come  with the evalution kit for the battery charger bq24745. I installed the EV2300 driver first as per the instructions. The driver installation succeeded. Then I installed the Bench test software bq24745bench_v141. The installation succeeded, but included a step that was suggesting to me to keep a more recent system file already on my disk. I kept my file already on disk during this installation, and went through therest of installation. Finally The system issued a message telling that the software installation was succesfull. I launched the software, but an error message window came before the software runs. The error message is run-time error 13: Type mismatch. Also once the software runs, I see some kind of window superimposition, I see the window shown on the user,s guide but at the bottom right and on top of another window which shows plenty of status. There is some part of each window that cannot be seen , because one window is on top of the other , and also because the top window (at the bottom right) is limited by the mainframe window of the application. I tried to move the windows but they remain static, I also tried to use the topl menu but nothing happen in any of the menus. Could someone help me to get running the software without errors. The operating system is Windows XP.

    When you run the software, do you get this message "USB error. Insure USB cable is connected and Driver is working"?

    When you click the "Read" botton, do you get "read error"?

    Please also make sure, the IC is powered up (DCIN>UVLO, ACIN>2.4V and VDDSMB is 3.3V).

    For some computers, the USB cable must be connected to original installation USB port and disconnect other USB applications.

    I do not get any USB error, the USB calbe is connected and power is applied ti the board.

     

    The «error 13: Type mismatch » comes just before the application window appears and this window really does not show what it is illustrated in the user 's guide.

    Tell me if it is possible that there are some files already corrupted on the CDROM  when the application is installed on the hard disk.

    I also try to install the software on another machine, and I still get the same result.

    Also in the read.me files provided on the CDROM of the evaluation kit  it is specified a phone number a a person to reach at TI in case of problem. The phone number is correct but the extension is no good. So there is no way to reach that person.  Would it be possible to get by e-mail the complete software files so that I could try to reinstall again.

    It is possible that some files are corrupted. Please download it from bq24745 and EV2300 software from the website link and install them again. That is only way to verify it.
