UCD9090A: Toff_Delay time variation

Part Number: UCD9090A

Hi, team.

Please tell me Min and Max of delay time from the fall of PMBUS_CNTRL to the fall of EN signal when Toff_Delay is set to 0ms.
When measured, it varies from 100us to 300us width.

Best Regards,

  • Hello

The detection of the PMBUS_CTRL is poled as fast as system can which is up to on the system loading and the internal vary from dozen microseconds to ~400 micro seconds. Once the change of the PMBUS_CTRL is detected, there are some processing time to handle this which could take no more than 100micro seconds.

If the rail is configured to shutdown immediately(no delay), you may see up to 500us time.

What you observed is kind of inline with expectation.

    Regards

  • Hi, yihe

Is the delay time after detecting PMBUS_CNTRL added to the Toff_Delay time?
For example, if EN1 with Delay set to 0ms is delayed by 300us, will the EN2 signal set to 1ms be 1.3ms?

    Best Regards,

  • Hello

Yes, the delay time is added after detecting the change of PMBUS_CNTRL.  the delay is processed by state machine running at 500us interval. so setting 300us delay will get 500us-ish.
