LM5121: Disconnection switch of LM5121

Part Number: LM5121

My customer evaluate LM5121.

This device has disconnection switch.

I think that the value to turn off this switch is set.

Are there methods to change this value?

Hello Yokota,

Thanks for reaching out with your question and for using the LM5121.

How much does the customer wish to shift the current limit thresholds? These is a method of increasing the voltage drop on the CSB leg of the current sense amplifier. This however will shift all the current limit thresholds. So this might not work for the customer application.

They set Ilimit=6A and they would like to turn off the disconnection switch about +10~20% of Ilimit.

Looking back at this question, there isn't a practical way to lower the breaker threshold voltage with out effecting all the other current limit levels.
