TPS3106: function abnormal when the power supply is fluctuate

Part Number: TPS3106

TPS3106K33DBV mulfunction!

  1. We use TPS3106K33DBV to monitor the 3.3V power and 1.0V power for FPGA
  2. Customer feedback that some product mulfunction, we find that the RSTVDD and RSTSENSE for FPGA is low even the 3.3V and 1.0V power if normal
  3. We suspect that the power supply in the field is not stable that cause the TPS3106K33DBV function abnormal
  4. Can anybody help? Below is the Sch.

  • Hi Bang Hong

I see following problems in the schematic.

1- RSTSENSE pin - RSTSENSE is an open drain output. It needs pullup to VDD supply to function normally, Please make sure that RSTSENSE is conneted to pullup.

2 - MR pin - MR should be connected to VDD level or lefr floating. If R1184 (10k_NC) is connected to MR then MR will see VDD/2 potential. Which may pull the RESET output low. Try opening the MR pin and see the RESET output.

Let me know if this resolved your problem.

    Regards
