Hi Team,
My customer aim to use the fuel gauge bq27421-G1.
Their application can be found (after manufacturing process) on the shelf for a while.
Therefore, they are traying to save power when the system is in off state.
One solution is to use bidirectional load switch that will disconnect the fuel gauge from battery. This means the fuel gauge will lose the calibration data since it is stored on ROM.
My question
Is the fuel gauge (bq27421-G1) is able to receive the calibration data (from the host when the system power-up) and function properly?
According to the impedance track method of TI, the fuel gauge needs only few moments to analyze the battery properties and reports state-of-charge (%)
Thanks,
Shlomi
