BQ25895: IC doesn't terminate the charging at configured charge-termination-current

Hi Team,

I am using BQ25895 charger IC to charge the Obtronics battery.

I am configuring charge-termination-current to 1024mA (max) by writing 0x4f to REG05 Register, but battery-charging is not terminate at this current level.

Can you please help me, how to configure charge-termination-current?

Hi Nayan,

The device terminates a charge cycle when the battery voltage is above recharge threshold (what is battery voltage), and the current is below termination current. What do you observe in status register CHRG_STAT? Verify if device is in DPM regulation or thermal regulation as well, as this internally disables termination.

By correcting battery-voltage & termination current configuration, IC can able to terminate the charge cycle.
