UCD9248: real Vout differs from Fusion software Vout setting

Part Number: UCD9248

Hello,

I am currently using Fusion digital designer to set two ucd9248 devices for 8 power rails.

I uses design to set my current voltages setting

put even I got good monitoring values (except rail#1 53h which has been destroyed):

The outputs measured with a voltmeter are completely different:

ucd 52d rail#1 is 2.2V instead of 0.95V

ucd 52d rail#4 is 3.2V instead of 2V

etc..

could you tell me what could be wrong in the process of setting ucd9248 device through Fusion Software ?

Thank you

  • Hi Frederic,

For rail #1 and #4 of UDC 52d, is the actual Vout regulated at correct value?

    Thanks

  • Hi Frederic,

We have not heard from you for some time. Hope the issue has been solved.

Please let us know if you need further support.

    Thanks

  • Hi Mrs Chen,

I solved the problem when I realize I could configure the device automatically when choosing the DCDC device (In my case, ptd08d210).

Fusion solftware calculates all coefficient for filtering and system starts to work. It gives also resistor values for the voltage dividers which were wrong on the board.

Nevertheless, What I don't figure out yet:

     - when I saved configuration file to program several boards, current limits and filters coefficients are not saved and I need to restart the configuration design through fusion.

Do you have any suggestion to get the right saved file to download to board without rerunning configuration design ?

    Thanks,

    Frederic

  • hi Frederic,

"Over Current Fault limit" needs to be higher than O"ver current warn limit".

Can you check if you set fault limit lower than warn limit?

    Thanks
