BQ24620: Question on amplication block

BQ24620: The 7 Cells /28V can't charged fully for BQ24620 only 26V Max

Part Number: BQ24620

Input /Output voltage is  8~32V(12V/24V Typ， 1A  Current）， The battery as a backup  power when no Input,  The battery Spec:  7Cells, Voltage  28V Max (no the  26V type) ,   When used BQ24620 the  battery cells can't charged fully for only 26V Max, that will cause bad impact.

How we can  solved such issue?  Give a booster after battery or  booster after Input  or any solution ,Please help check the Issue,Thank you!

    Jack,

    The sync buck converter needs to refresh the top FET driver BTST cap by turning on the low side FET. It can't achieve 100% duty ratio. The output voltage will have headroom from the input voltage. The power loss will also contribute to the headroom required for output voltage regulation.
