Hi!
I'm new on this forum.
After contacting TI support with my problem, they told me to ask my problem here.
So, I have an Asus laptop which battery is not working anymore. I opened the battery and I changed the cells. After that, I needed to do a reset on the battery's EEPROM.
After looking more carefully, it is a bq20z45. After a few searches, I found that it is from TI. According to datasheet, I did a reset (connecting pins 29 with 24). Unfortunately, I clean all the information on bq20z45 (not a reset I was expecting for).
After a few searches on internet, I found that there is a program to reprogram battery's eeprom. It is called Be2Works.
To work with that, I need a board cp2112. So, I bougt one and I connected the pin GND(board cp2112) to P-(battery), pin SDA(board cp2112) to pin D(battery) and pin SCL(board cp2112) to C(Battery). After that, with Be2works, I tried to read the bq20z45 information. However, It couldn't read because I did a reset before by mistake.
Is there any way to reprogram my battery eeprom? Any specific program?
Unfortunately ASUS doesn't sell batteries anymore for my laptop. Also, I can't find any (new or used) for sale, so, my only solution is trying to save this one.
Thanks a lot!
