My customer is using BQ25120A in their project, now they get one problem about the reg 01h. In the datasheet say, the low 4 bits are mask bit, if those bits is set to 1, does the associated fault bits in high 4 bits still could be set to 1? They think those bit shouldn't be set to 1, since low 4 bits are set. However, in their real application, they find the bits could be set high.
They connect a deeply discharge battery at the bat port, and they set low 4 bits to 1, then read back, find the reg is 0x2f, which means the BAT_UVLO bit also been set 1. Could you give some comments to this? Does this normal? Thanks!
