I want to know when does change bq40z50-R2 v2.08 to v2.11 version ? Which datecode does start to use v2.11 version ?

Hi Went,

The factory devices will always be programmed with the R2 v2.08. You will have to manually update it to R2 v2.11.

1. Why will always be programmed with the V2.08 ?

2. Can v2.11 be used for mass production ? Is there any other bug that not suitable for mass production ?

Hi Went,

The factory will never be updated to a newer fw rev. This causes production issues and additional certification needs. You can use the 2.11 for MP once you update it manually.

The bq40z50-R3 is a FW only release. The firmware can be flashed onto the bq40z50-R2 using TI tool chains, please refer to the bqStudio and EVM UG for next steps here.
