BQ24250: Input supply from 2 power source

Part Number: BQ24250
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS2121

Hi,

We are building a charging circuit. with 2 power supplies. 1) 5V AC/DC Adapter 2) USB from PC (D+ and D- are not used).

The BQ24250 is set to operate in standalone mode with EN1=1, EN2=0. The VDPM set to 4.8V. There is a possibility of connecting both adapter and USB simultaneously(power from both source). How can I prevent the reverse flow of current from source1 to source 2?

Reducing the VDPM to 4.5V and connecting a low drop diode in series is the right way to do it? We can look into other options as well.
