TPS3813-Q1: device behavior in WDR or WDT open case

Part Number: TPS3813-Q1

Hi team,

My customer is using TPS3813-Q1 with 220pF of C(ext) and WDR=5V and, now analyzing  PinFMEA by themselves. There are 2 questions.

1) What would be happen if WDR become open accidentally?

2) What would be happen if WDT become open accidentally?

When the customer tested WDR open case, he cannot see any difference from normal operation. It may become indefinite and, the lower boundary become longer and shorter.

When the customer tested WDT open case, he observed shorter window frame. The device may operate with stray capacitor and it may be much smaller than 155pF of minimum C(ext) range. What would be happen in this case?

Best Regards,

  • Hirai-san,

While we do not have an official pin FMEA on this device, and while there would be no damage to the pins if these were disconnected, we do not define the functionality. The functionality would be undefined in both cases.

    Thanks,
    Abhinav.
