Hello All,
I have a scenario here, We have a chip (FPF2100) that gets fried for some reason that we cannot locate, percentage is low but does happen. We hook this part up to the laptop USB only and some of these boards that we get are mainly returned because of this chip. Is there any solution from TI that we could pass the 5V input along and limit the current to 200mA max and block the higher current inputted to the system (or short the rest)? USB 1.0 & 2.0 generally will supply up to 500mA and USB 3.0 I think could provide up to 900mA. Any help will be definitely appreciated.
Thanks.
Ali.
