BQ25120A: bq25120A reverse polarity

Can the bq25120A handle reversed polarity? I think the answer is no (since there is no mention of it in the datasheet).

If no... what happens if the polarity is reversed? Does the bq25120A die?

The BQ25120A is not designed to handle reverse polarity. Please take a look at the application note below to see how to prevent this.

Thanks... and what is the expected result? will the BQ stop working if the polarity is reversed? Or will it come back to life once it is corrected?

Yuri,

Since this is outside of the voltage parameters we have in the datasheet, this is not tested.

However, it'll depend on how much current goes into the device when the reverse polarity occurs. The higher the current, the higher the likelihood of damage to the device.
