Power IC for operating Laser Driver

We are looking for the IC and circuit information.

Input voltage : 3.3V 

                        3.3V inputs the IC by square wave 500nS pulse.

Output voltage : -5V

Output current : 1.5A(max)

We need -5V to operate Laser Driver.

Please tell us the recommended IC and circuit.

We are concerned that input voltage(3.3V) is very short pulse(square wave 500nS).

    Hi Nishizawa-san,

    What sort of power IC are you looking for? I would assume that since you have a positive input voltage and need a negative output voltage for the laser driver that you are looking for a switching regulator to do that conversion. Is this what you have in mind?

    1.Is this power for EML bias or PD laser driver ? could you please share the partial block diagram ?

    2. why your input voltage is square wave? is this has a capability to supply -5V/1.5A output ?

    3. Do you want a continuous -5v output or a square -5V wave?
