TPS2491: question regarding VGS rating of FET to be used

My customer is considering TPS2491 and has a question.

I would be grateful if you could advise.

I am considering MOSFET of TPS2491.

The datasheet P.21 says, "A VGS rating of ±20 V is required, because the TPS2490 can pull up the gate as high as 16 V above source."

I think this reason GATE output voltage of TPS2491 can be 16Vmax.

Regarding negative voltage, it doesn't need to consider.

The reason of +/-20V, the rated voltage of VGS often has the same value for positive voltage and negative voltage.

So it can use MOSFET VGS(+20V/-12V), is it correct?
