Hello,

Can i use the factory default chemical id for "End-Of-Service Detection" (EOS flag) on any LiSOCl2 battery?

Assume calibration, EOS mode gauging is done following the steps on TRM.

Hi Thameera,

Yes, that is the basic process. The gauge looks at the rate of change of the changing resistance to determine EOS, so the default chem id should work for any LiSoCl2 cell

Hi Thameera,

It's generally not advisable. A better method is to get a cell that matches the ID.
